Your First Portrait Painting with South Australian Artist Julie Lloyd

Whether you are a beginner or have some painting experience, this workshop is all about building confidence, experience and enjoying the creative journey of painting your first portrait.

Julie will guide you through the basics sharing techniques in colour, brushwork and composition in a relaxed welcoming atmosphere.

Julie is an accomplished oil painter whose work has featured in the Prospect Portrait Prize, Small Works Art Prize at the Brunswick Gallery Melbourne and the Burra Regional Art Gallery, where she won the Portrait Prize for her portrait of poet Ali Cobby Eckermann.

She has recently been announced finalist in the Royal South Australian Society of the Arts Biennial Portrait Prize for three of her works.
