Shimmy your first belly dance

Discover the art of belly dance in this fun and beginner-friendly workshop! Whether you’re looking to explore a new form of movement, improve your flexibility, or just have a good time, this session is the perfect introduction to the world of belly dance.

An ancient dance form for storytelling and expression, belly dance (or Rak Shaki) takes many forms and has evolved through many influences. It remains a celebration of movement, music and the human form. Traditionally a dance by women, for women. Both dazzling and grounded, the music and movements are infectious and fun!

You’ll learn the basics of hip isolations, fluid movements, and the rich cultural history behind this empowering dance style. No experience needed—just bring your curiosity and a willingness to move! Join us for a lively, supportive, and inspiring experience that will leave you feeling confident and energised.
