Shamisen, Sake and Stories: A Night of Japanese Culture

Come and enjoy an evening of Japanese culture and literature.

Kicking the evening off will be Noriko Tadano on the Shamisen. Having played in festivals and events all over the world, including most recently having performed at the Japan Expo Paris in France, Noriko brings a captivating, entertainingly quirky and refreshingly new take on the classic instrument.

Next, immerse yourself in the world of Japanese literature. From the historical heavyweights such as Soseki, Mishima, Kawabata and Oe, to the modern Yoshimoto, Kirino, Murata and of course, Murakami(s) (Both Haruki and Ryu), find your next favourite author.

And finally, during the night enjoy a free tasting of Japanese Sake brought to you By Inesake and, Kikisake-shi and certified Sake sommelier, Yi Sun.
