Take the stress out of Book Week Costume planning and put the fun back in this year!

Join us for the first of two workshops where we will work with you to plan a simple Book Week costume.

We are taking the stress out of Book Week and putting the fun back in! In the first workshop we will explore options for simple ways to design unique costumes that celebrate your FAVOURITE book characters.

What do you need to bring?

  • Your favourite book, and an idea of which character you’d like to dress up as.
  • Enthusiasm
  • A grown up to help you

You’ll go home with a list of items to gather (we expect you’ll have most of them at home already) ready for our second workshop.

In the second workshop, (Wednesday August 2) we’ll come together with the support of Gawler Environment Centre volunteers to help you create your costume. This year Book Week will be fab, and the bonus will be that your costume will be original and sustainably made.

This event is proudly part of LibrariesSA’s Firstival. Learn more at firstival.com.au
