Memory Place – Poetry and Prose Writing Workshop

The Memory Place is for people who want to investigate and write creatively about personal or family history.

Working from a memento, treasured object or piece of clothing, participants will be guided through a series of writing exercises to draft a poem or short prose piece.

Emphasis is made on slowing down, making connections between strands of memory, sensory observation, and imagination; and adding the element of surprise to your writing.

Bring along a treasured object or piece of clothing that you’d like to write about.

Paper and pens supplied.
