Let’s Get Fermenting

Come along to Prospect library for a taste of culture, tradition and preservation.

Local fermenting icon Mandy Hall from Slow Food South Australia is coming to the library and teaching us the dark arts of fermenting.

One of the principles of Slow Food is to maintain traditional techniques and teaching other to make sure those skills are not lost and reconnect with the community.

In this workshop you will learn how safely preserve and ferment season fresh produce. This ancient food practice will not only be delicious but can help towards sustainable food practices, reducing cost of living and of course learn something new!

Please note that this workshop is 18+. We welcome everyone from all skills and background to come and learn with us.
