Write Your First Children’s Book with Katrina Germein
Want to have a go at writing your first children’s book? Who better to get you started than best-selling children’s author Katrina Germein!
Picture books are a unique genre that delight both adults and children. But what makes them special? How do writers take readers on a journey with so few words to play with? And how do the author and illustrator work together?
In this workshop, fledgling children’s writers are invited to examine various elements of picture book texts and some of the essential ingredients publishers look for.
The session considers how to begin writing your picture book story and ways to strengthen and refine a manuscript.
Please arrive by the scheduled start time to ensure you can participate fully in the session.
