End of Life: Death Choices Expo

This event is part of the South Australian Firstival 2025, where libraries across the state will offer participants an opportunity to try an event or workshop for the first time, or perhaps to revisit an experience enjoyed in the past.

Starting conversations around ageing, loss, dying and grief in an honest and welcoming environment.


STALLHOLDERS

Include: traditional funeral directors, alternative burial services, death doulas, carers services, voluntary assisted dying support service, Legal Services Commission, and grief services and more.

EVENT PROGRAM

12.30 pm – 1.15pm Welcome and overview of stallholders in attendance. Role of Death Doulas and Death Cafes explained.

1.15pm – 4.00pm Death Cafe

1.15pm –2.00pm Opportunity to meet stallholders

2.00pm – 2.30pm Presentation by Carers Services

2.30pm – 3.00pm Opportunity to meet stallholders

3.00pm – 4.00pm Panel discussion with Funeral Directors/ Burial Services/ Q & A

4.00pm – 4.30pm Opportunity to meet stallholders

4.30pm – 4.45pm Wrap up of event

5.00pm – Event concludes
