Eco Chats – plastic free July: start with your bins

Get an insight into our community’s waste habits with our Waste Education Officer and find out how everyday actions can help reduce landfil.

Join us as we dive into the science and strategy behind effective waste management.

Sorting waste might seem like a small act, but its impact is massive. When we separate recyclables, compostables and trash, we reduce contamination, lower disposal costs and increase the efficiency of recycling systems. It’s a simple habit that empowers communities to fight climate change and preserve natural resources.

Council Waste Education Officer Sam Tubb will speak about fostering sustainability through correct sorting of waste and the dos and don’ts of material types.

Education and awareness are key and with a little help we can all make informed, eco-friendly choices every day.
