Enjoy a day free of screens, try a new craft, or just take the time to connect with the community.

In collaboration with Firstival, the library invites you to try something new (but old!).

Various arts and crafts will be on offer for those who wish to enjoy a day free of screen time.

Learn a new craft like crochet or felting, chat to someone on a tincan phone, try your hand at a boardgame or chess game, and even write your very first letter.

Youth and children friendly activities will also be on offer, including sock puppet making and speed stacking challenges.

During the event, advisers will help with specific activities and assist patrons with trying something new.

Activities on the day include:

• Board games, chess backgammon, card games, dominoes, poker, 21, bocce
• Sock Pupets (12pm – 3pm)
